Thankful 

I’m thankful for the people that surround me

Thankful for having my family

That help me during my time of need

Thankful for my friends that allow me to confide in them

When I need it or for simply allowing me to friends with them

Thankful for the wisdom that I gain over time while experiencing new things

Thankful for the new people that came into my life this year and allowed me 

To explore them on a deeper level

One day I hope to be thankful for getting to know myself better

To make better choices when it comes to getting out of my comfort zone

One day I hope to be thankful for knowing my friends better

Knowing we could grow closer together or apart from one another

It’s a path that’s always changing I hope to take a step in the right direction

One day I hope to be thankful for not always overthinking 

I feel like a pessimist every time I start overthinking 

It causes how I feel about my experiences to change 

No matter how good they were

This year I’m thankful for family and friends

Always there for me when they can

Even though they don’t agree with some of my choices

This year I’m thankful for getting to meet new people and exploring them on a deeper level

I hope I can continue getting to know them but I like to take my time getting to know them

I hope they won’t decided to leave before I get comfortable with them

This year I’m thankful for getting to understand myself a little better than last year

I’ll always be thankful for myself for allowing myself to have these new experiences
