Ziadie Field Dedication a Celebration of Life Well-Lived

There weren’t many dry eyes at yesterday’s Ziadie Field dedication ceremony. Mr. Christopher Ziadie’s family and friends gathered to share their memories and laughter of Mr. Ziadie – his love of soccer – his teaching – his art of storytelling.  The field behind Somerset is now named “Ziadie Field”. A bronze plaque with his name and why we honor him is being placed there today. Butterflies were released at the ceremony while Assist Principal Mrs. Mincey read Renee Alexandria Ho’s “Live Life to the Fullest”. Mrs. Guillen noted that benches will be placed near the butterfly bush in the back field which will serve as a place to reflect and remember.

SACM’s Soccer Team scrimmaged Miramar Police Department players in honor of Mr. Ziadie and his life-long passion for everything soccer.
